CALLING ALL COFFEE LOVERS!

Tacoma’s Lander Coffee is home to a unique Guatemalan coffee, Nueva Montana. It’s one of the few places in the country you can find this coffee. It has rich strawberry, raspberry, brown sugar, and chocolate flavors. It’s unique and incredibly delicious. So when the Grit and Grain Podcast crew set out to brew a collaboration beer for Tacoma Beer Week, this was their inspiration.

With the help of the award-winning Logan Brewing Company, they designed a Cascadian Dark Ale (or Black IPA) to mimic all of the flavors of Lander’s Nueva Montana Coffee. A lightly roasty grain character to match a medium roast bean. Bella, Barbe Rouge, and HBC 630 hops to match those beautiful raspberry and strawberry flavors, and a balanced finishing bitterness. This is a beer that tastes just like this gorgeous coffee, without any coffee added during the process.
