Tacoma Beer Week Basecamp kicks off at Peaks & Pints with a day built around community, conservation, and choosing your own adventure.
Saturday’s Basecamp is anchored by the 3rd Annual Proctor Polar Bear Crawl, hosted by Party for Polar Bears, supported by Drinking for Conservation, and backed by 7 Seas Brewing.
From 2 to 6 p.m., the Proctor Polar Bear Crawl invites participants to explore the Proctor District with stops at Chirp & Co, Compass Rose, Pacific Northwest Shop, Tacoma Glass Gallery & Fusing Studio, Teaching Toys & Books, Fondi Pizza, Ice Cream Social, Narrows Brewing, and Brown Family Vineyards. Along the way, enjoy shopping, treats, and polar-bear-themed cheer while supporting polar bear conservation.
From 5 to 8 p.m., the crawl converges at Peaks & Pints for the first Tacoma Beer Week Basecamp — a gathering point and an event in itself: a place to meet friends, enjoy the day’s featured Peaks & Pints event, and plan where the night goes next. 7 Seas Brewing will anchor the Western redcedar tap log, and Peaks & Pints will donate 50 cents from every draft poured during the finale to support polar bear conservation.
