Tacoma Beer Week brings together breweries, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, food trucks, and other local businesses and community partners for ten days of great food, beverages, creativity, and connection.

Who Can Participate?

Tacoma Beer Week welcomes businesses and organizations from across Tacoma and the South Sound. Those based outside the region are also encouraged to take part by partnering with local participants

You don't have to brew beer - or even serve it - to participate. What matters is creating an experience that meaningfully supports our local culinary and beverage community.

What Makes a Great Beer Week Event?

It’s all about providing experiences that give people a reason to get out, explore, connect, and discover something new.

Events should:

  • Feature a meaningful culinary or beverage experience.

  • Directly support a food, beverage, hospitality or local business or community partner

  • Offer something distinctive beyond a business's regular programming.

  • Align with Tacoma Beer Week's participation and community standards.

Need Some Inspiration?

Here are a few ideas:

  • Beer & Beverage Experiences: Special releases, guided tastings, educational events, and collaborative brewing projects.

  • Food & Culinary Experiences: Pairing dinners, cooking demonstrations, special menus, and food truck collaborations.

  • Entertainment & Activities: Beer-themed trivia, interactive games, live music paired with a special culinary experience, and creative workshops.

  • Community Collaborations: Fundraisers, nonprofit partnerships, neighborhood celebrations, and events bringing different local businesses together.

These are just examples. We especially encourage creative ideas that add something unique to Tacoma Beer Week.

Existing weekly activities are welcome, too, as long as they offer a distinct Beer Week spin. Simply offering food or drinks alongside an unrelated activity is less likely to encourage meaningful attendance.

How Participation Works

1. Plan Your Event

Develop your idea, choose a date and location, and coordinate with any participating partners.

You're welcome to host multiple events throughout Beer Week.

Do you have a great idea but no venue? Do you have a venue, but aren’t sure how to bring an event to life? Our team is here to help! Email info@tacomabeerweek.com to get the conversation started.

2. Submit Your Event

Complete our online submission form with the details attendees will need, including your event description, date, time, location, pricing, ticket information, and any age restrictions. Logo and event image also required; please reconsider use of obvious generative AI, as experience has shown this can discourage potential attendees from participating.

Please submit a separate form for each event.

3. We'll Review Your Submission

Our team reviews submissions for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with our participation guidelines.

We may make minor edits for spelling, grammar, clarity, and consistency. We'll contact you before making any changes that materially affect your event's meaning or details.

We may also reach out if we need additional information.

4. Get Ready for Beer Week!

Once approved, your event will be added to the official Tacoma Beer Week calendar.

Help spread the word through your website, social media, newsletters, and conversations with your customers. We’ll provide a free Participant Promotion Toolkit to make that easier!

Important Dates

November 11, 2026 — Event Submissions Open

January 15, 2027 — Preferred Submission Deadline

February 27 – March 7, 2027 — Tacoma Beer Week

We encourage you to submit your event by January 15 to give attendees plenty of time to discover it and make plans.

Late submissions are welcome! However, events submitted after the preferred deadline may receive less exposure because they'll have less time on the official calendar and in our promotional planning.

The earlier you submit, the more time people have to find your event!

What We Ask of Event Hosts

Tacoma Beer Week is a collaborative community effort. To help make it successful, participating hosts are responsible for:

  • Planning, organizing, staffing, and operating their own events.

  • Managing their own event costs, ticketing, and reservations.

  • Providing accurate and complete event information.

  • Following applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Tacoma Beer Week's participation and community standards.

  • Clearly communicating pricing, age restrictions, accessibility information, and reservation requirements.

  • Promptly notifying Tacoma Beer Week of event changes or cancellations.

  • Communicating changes directly to their attendees, including ticket holders and anyone with reservations.

Tacoma Beer Week provides a shared calendar and promotes the overall celebration. Individual events are organized and operated by their hosts.

Need to Change Your Event?

If your event details change after submission, please email info@tacomabeerweek.com as soon as possible.

This includes changes to dates, times, locations, pricing, ticket information, or cancellations.

Our team will update your listing on the official Tacoma Beer Week calendar. Hosts are responsible for notifying their attendees directly.

Help Spread the Word!

  • Tacoma Beer Week logos and graphics.

  • Customizable event promotional templates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it cost anything to participate?

No! Tacoma Beer Week doesn't charge businesses or organizations to submit or host events. Hosts are responsible for their own event expenses.

Can I submit more than one event?

Absolutely! You can host multiple events throughout Beer Week. Please submit a separate form for each event.

Does my business need to be in Tacoma?

No. We welcome participants throughout the South Sound, as well as businesses from outside the region that collaborate with local partners.

Does my event have to feature beer?

Not necessarily. Events must feature a meaningful food or beverage experience that directly supports a local business.

Can I submit my regular weekly event?

Yes, if you're doing something special for Beer Week. A unique theme, collaboration, menu, tasting, or other distinctive experience can make a recurring event a great fit.

What if I miss the preferred submission deadline?

You can still submit! Just remember that later submissions have less time to appear on the calendar and reach potential attendees.

Can I edit my event after it's published?

Contact us at info@tacomabeerweek.com with the changes. Our team will update the official listing.
